Heatherden Hall,
Pinewood Studios.
09:43 Wednesday 23rd April 2025
Our second crowd holding of the day - grand, walls lined with stills from cinematic history, barrel vaulted ceiling, pillars and frescoes at each end.
The Long Gallery links the front of Pinewood's admin block to the garden side of Heatherden Hall.
We gained access to this holding area by entering the amazing, ornately carved wooden portico, up one level and passed the JR Rank and Pinewood Board rooms. All wonderful to see.
The Gallery is very show business. At first glance, the 60 or so framed pictures of yesteryear's movie legends are impressive. Upon further inspection, however, the frames appear to be made of plastic, fake wood and the prints blurry, low quality, inkjet copies. A bit like a movie set - they look great from a distance.
Thanks to Crowd AD team of Katie, Loz, Robbi, Owen, Amelia & Tom. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.
Drawn using UniPin fineliners and a TWSBI ECO T Clear Fountain Pen with Rohrer & Klingner Lotte ink on A5 sketchbook paper.
