The most unusual Crowd Holding I've yet to experience - a cathedral-size space in England's largest limestone mine.
A handful of quite a large crowd - the first entrants of the morning to a freezing cold, damp, and very dark underworld.
Apparently, the network of tunnels and chambers runs for 26 miles across three levels. Our safety briefing advised that the nearest emergency exit from this Crowd Holding to the surface was a 45 minute walk.
